Introducing My Whole World:

I will start off with giving everyone a brief background of our family:

My name is Allison.  I grew up in small town New Hampshire.  The first time I ever left New England was when my mother put me on a plane at 14 years old and moved me to Nevada.  I did all of my growing up here... mostly in Vegas.  I am a family child care provider out of my home.  I run a pre-school program.  We also foster for the SPCA.  And I am team captain for our March for Babies team that supports the March of Dimes.

I am the proud mommy of a beautiful daughter, Kelly Ilene.  She will be 7 years old in June.  That little girl saved me.  I will get into that more later...  She is my light in life and my every reason for waking up in the morning.  Kelly is a very special little girl.  She is my miracle.  She was born premature and has struggled her whole life to just find "normal".  She is the most inspiring and positive person I have ever met,  even at her very young age.  Kelly has an enormous amount of faith.  She makes her mommy proud!

I married my soul mate, Matt, in February 2011.  We met by chance online.  And it was pure bliss from the very first date.  We fight, I complain about him, and we drive each other crazy.  But in my eyes,  our marriage is nothing short of perfect!  I love that man with my entire soul!  He is a Ssgt in the Air Force.  Not a day goes by that I am not overly proud of my very own hero.  It may sound cheesy, but it never gets old.  The uniform still excites me.  And I can't be any more proud of what he stands for and the commitment he has to our country.  Not only is he an amazing man,  but he is a fabulous father.  A role he never needed to fill but stepped up and took over.  He adopted Kelly in July 2012.  Our daughter adores her daddy.

As if life could not be more amazing,  we are expecting a baby in late March.  We are having another girl whom we will name Kimberly Grace.  We are very excited to welcome the new addition.  I know Kelly will make a fabulous big sister!

A house is not a home with out a pet,  right?  We have two.  Both rescues.  They are like little fur children and we spoil the crud out of them.  I am a firm believer in "fur-ever" adopting and animal.  They will live out their entire lives with our one family!!!  I adopted our cat, Harley in 2008 as a companion for Kelly.  He stole my heart instantly and I HAD to have him.  He is a big boy and absolutely gorgeous.  He has the coolest attitude and is so gentle.  Not only do we love him, but so does everyone who meets him.  We also opened our house to a long hair dachshund pup when my husband was deployed... she was born August 17, 2012. My neighbor showed up at my door with her and I fell in love.  We sent video to Matt who was in Iraq and let him name her... he chose Mercedes (We call her Sadie most of the time).  She is quiet, gentle, and loves to cuddle.  She is much smaller than her parents, weighing just over 7 pounds.  She craves attention and love and steals everyones heart!  We were truly blessed with two amazing animals!  Because of the military and most bases having a two pet limit for housing,  we only have them.  So we foster for the SPCA.  It has been a very exciting and rewarding experience.

So that is our family in a nut shell... I have wanted to blog for a while,  so posts will probably be pretty random from here on out.  No specific plan or theme.  Just us and our crazy Happily Ever After!
